Copenhagen Fashion Week started yesterday. Here are some of the designers that will present their latest collections:

Baum und Pferdgarten was founded in 1999 by Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave from a dream to create fashion with an element of irony and a signature that is poised somewhere between harmony and quirkiness. Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave are well-known for their uncompromising approach to design, quality and their focus on details.
The creative manifest of Baum und Pferdgarten is to differ from the masses both in design and in process. The designer duo is known for not compromising on quality or esthetics – the high quality is reflected in both the fabrics as well as in the attention to detail and craftsmanship in the manufacturing.

Graduating from Fashion Design with Knitwear at Central Saint Martins College in London, Gaia Brandt Rasmussen set up her label GAIA in 2009. Her work combines knit with vintage garments and range from one-off pieces, to a small collection of styles. Simple silhouettes contrast with quirky details and an appealing treatment of colour make up GAIA´s unmistakable look. Gaia is interested in the composition of materials, qualities, structures, styles and colours, new and old.

BIBI CHEMNITZ was founded in 2006 by the self-taught designer from Greenland, Bibi Chemnitz. The style is raw and dark, inspired by the flapping greenlandic nature and clean lines that we know from Scandinavia. They design for both sexes and the look is often unisex and oversized.
