Each Henrik Vibskov collection has that je ne sais quoi and you’ll find yourself waiting for his next one. And you won’t be disappointed! From his first collections, Vibskov created impressive runway shows, like the Donkey Solar Experiment or The Eat (see below).
Most of his shows have memorable titles, like The Transparent Tongue, The Stiff Neck Chamber and The Shrink Wrap Spectacular. He is part of the New Nordic Movement, which puts together different areas, from fashion to food and literature that have a feeling of evolution or that are, in a way, on the edge.

In his latest collection he is interested in dots and in the way they integrate in a look or in the way they cut its logics. Apart from being close to experiment, the designer is also one that puts comfort at a high place. Even though many collections remind of a scientist’s laboratory, most of his pieces are wearable. It is very difficult to put Vibskov in a category, since he changes a lot with each collection. Still, as recurrent elements there are ponchos, large T-shirts with inscriptions, strong colours.

The Eat runway show

Last year an album was published – the Henrik Vibskov book – where critics tries to define his career, therefore made a short list of words that would characterize him: “donkey”, “boobies”, “mint”, “tank” and “shrink wrap”. If some of the words are easier to understand, why boobies? He had an installation where his models presented clothes surrounded by sculptures in the shape of breasts:

Vibskov is famous for loving to take his fashion show outside, in the nature, or he tries to recreate it inside. Indeed, the shows have a different atmosphere the moment the clothes are presented in nature, since they must be very well-defined to still be visible:
