Modern Love is an exhibition you’ll hear about more and more. It just opened and it’s open until February 2014, so hopefully you’ll get the chance to see it. It is an exclusive exhibition, and we say this if we take a look at the list of exhibited designers: Azzedine Alaia, Thom Browne, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Dior, Ferragamo, Tom Ford, Jean Paul Gaultier, Carolina Herrera, Betsey Johnson, Patrick Kelly, Helmut Lang, Monique Lhuillier, Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake, Moschino, Thierry Mugler, Hiroaki Ohya, Zac Posen, Prada, Christian Francis Roth, Ralph Rucci, Valentino, Versace, Vivienne Westwood, YSL and more. There was a lot of work and research for this exhibition, and the final choice of designers presents the most influential designers and 60 works from the 1980 post-punk until the present day.

The curator says “People just flock to the Alexander McQueen peacock dress, which we have had in our gallery since 2011. It was supposed to be at the end of the show but everyone skips the rest of the show and went straight to that first. The garment has a lot of history, thousands of layers of crinoline skirt, cream and black with peacocks on it. It’s slightly sinister because it’s a McQueen and … it’s got so much going on plus the tragedy of McQueen dying.”
