Five Toes Coffee Table
Part of the Socks + Furniture collection, this table takes inspiration from toe socks, and is supported by five legs. The tabletop is the result of material explorations and manufacturing process research. Using a vacuum bag, the surface is molded from a cotton and gypsum polymer blend, resulting is a rigid textured surface. The table is designed for assembly and disassembly and utilizes typical socks as the fasteners. This also allows for user customization with plain, coloured or mismatching socks. The legs are made of Beechwood and are different lengths similar to the toes on our feet.
Part of the Socks + Furniture collection, this slipcover is physically and visually unifying to offer a new life to discarded chairs. Taking inspiration from socks as they are key elements in team uniforms this cover allows the chairs an opportunity to work together to provide comfortable seating.
The Shortcut Lamp is the result of material exploration with 0.8 mm aircraft plywood. Using its ability to flex to be put in tension to create strength, this lamp can also be flat packed. The underside of this lamp creates the shape of a gorgon loop. This shape is also used as the “command” or “shortcut” key on Apple keyboards giving the lamp its name. When hanging, the light source is completely hidden from view.
