It’s definitely a good year for Yayoi Kusama. The artist is in the center of attention and she is present in several exhibitions. The latest is at David Zwirner Gallery and it’s big: 27 paintings and one video installation and “two mirrored infinity rooms, one of which is made especially for this presentation.” You can only check on that, it’s supposed to be impressive. And, indeed, the artist is quite famous for her large career and for the areas in which she works, and through her life she was active in painting, performance, installations, design, film, fashion. Her optical works are simple, but this is what impresses the audience, the fact that she uses very simple themes and takes them in a new zone.
