Capricious 88 presents Pony Tails: To Live Play Move and Clash As She Will , a solo exhibition by Swedish artist Cajsa von Zeipel, on September 13. New York-based sculptor von Zeipel will showcase her characteristic, all-white figures until November 2.
In just recent years, von Zeipel has gained much attention for her meticulously chiseled plaster sculptures of lean women and androgynous figures. She has been the subject of both group and solo exhibitions at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the M/L Artspace in New York City and Art Basel Hong Kong. Referencing fashion and club culture, von Zeipel’s artistry is an exploration of gender identity, dominance and power.

Capricious is a New York-based art photography magazine, publishing house and gallery, founded by Sophie Mörner. Pony Tails is the first exhibition at Capricious 88 to focus exclusively on sculptures. The opening is presented in conjunction with the release of High Tails, an eclectic volume of photography celebrating Capricious’ tenth anniversary in publishing.
