Scheduled for April 25-28, 2014, Hyère’s Festival de Mode et de Photographie will soon be returning to the hilltop gardens of Villa Noailles. Originally created by Jean Pierre Blanc as a way of promoting next-generation photographers and designers, this year’s festival will be presided by jury heads Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Creative Directors at Kenzo since 2011 and founders of brand and concept store, Opening Ceremony. Joining the pair on January 22 to make the initial selections were American actress Chloë Sevigny; Carol Song, head buyer at Opening Ceremony; Jay Massacret, editor in chief of VMan; Eric Wilson, Fashion Director at InStyle USA; and a line-up of yet to be publicized industry influencers. From an original selection of 312 applications, 45 candidates were selected of which a further 10 have now been invited to present at Villa Noailles for the Festival’s final competition in April.
