It’s always refreshing, discovering new designers and a surprising source of inspiration behind their work. Minju Kim belongs to the game-changing designers, and not only did she graduate from Antwerp’s Academy of Fine Arts but before that she took home the H&M Design Award for her collection “Dear, My Friend”. Now “Be Cover” is her final collection that was inspired by the green witch Elphaba from “Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz” musical. She gave her a new exterior to match the way she saw her braveness and kindness, leaving aside the prejudice that followed her. Kind of like, this collection became the happy end to a fairy tail, and to all of us seeking for the leading designers of tomorrow.
