The Swallowable Parfum® short film is the culmination of a four week Summer residency at Pin Up Project Space where Lucy extrapolated her artistic provocation into a live performance where viewers stepped into a future where the body and technology merge.

A self – initiated project the film takes you on a speculative journey into an evocative, surreally choreographed world where the Swallowable Parfum® is manufactured, packaged and digested. Film sets were simultaneously viewed by a live audience of 300, exploring the idea of extending the projects experience beyond film. The show started with Lucy administering the dancing muse with an impregnated pill, pulling viewers into her imagined world, through each stage of the films process.

The film opens with an ethereal, strong woman, fluidly undulating on a table top, surrendering her body to science and technology. The sealed chamber appears part hospital, part butcher with hints of a science classroom. Glossily clad doctors prepare visceral liquids, seemingly unaware of the muse undulating on her back, until draped in a transparent, pneumatic second skin, emitting a gold liquid, simulating the way the parfum perspires through the skins surface.
